Bass Tracks
Are you looking for pro-quality bass tracks for your project? I can work with you locally, or remotely over the internet, to help give you exactly what you're looking for. I have professional experience with everything from Rock to Jazz to Mozart, and everything that falls between the cracks.
The rhythm section is the backbone to your music, and the bass plays a vital role in setting the groove and overall feel for the song. But great tracks don't just consist of great bass lines; tone, feel, and pocket are equally as important. With 14 vintage and modern basses, high quality amplifiers, mics, effects and preamps, and 16 years of playing experience, believe me when I say that I've got you covered!
Composition & Song Writing
Apart from my solo music, I compose everything from commercial jingles to death metal. Rock, Pop, R&B, Techno, Jazz Fusion, TV & Film… You name it, I've written it. I have a large original sound library that covers many genres of music, ready to go, and I can also create custom music for your project. Some of the music playing in the mp3 player below is from this library, just to give you an idea of the quality of work that I do. I'm only an email away, so feel free to let me know what you need!
Production
In my experience I have found that rhythm section players (namely bassists) make excellent producers: Marcus Miller, Randy Jackson, Larry Klein… Bass players have a different mindset than other musicians. They know how to lay back and lead a song from the inside-out; how to listen to the band as a whole, and not just to one specific aspect of the song. Most importantly, bass players understand that it's not always about playing flashy, or gimmicks, or taking the spotlight; it's about playing for the song. The best producers are always listening to the ensemble as a whole, and are fully aware that the feel and the pocket are vital to the success of the music. And the funny thing is that bass players do all of this naturally every time they play.
My passion for producing and engineering music began the very first time I stepped foot into a recording studio. I have since then helped to record and produce numerous artists and bands in my home studio over the years, honing my skills and accumulating knowledge and building a surplus of the highest quality recording gear.
From basic tracking and mixing to guiding a project and casting objective feedback, I can help to offer a creative and experienced point of view to your project.
